Adding Timed User Access To A Module

Looking to manage access to certain modules by setting a time limit? Timed User Access allows admins to set a restriction on how long a user has to complete a module. Timed User Accessed can be managed through the module editor page. To access the module editor page, click the drop-down menu on the left and select Portal Administration (Fig. 1). 

Note: The time for each user begins once they begin the module.

From the Portal Administration page, select the Learning Management System Module Administration box (Fig. 2).

From the Learning Management System Module Administration page, click on the Edit Mode toggle (Fig. 3) at the top right-hand corner of the page.

Locate the module and click the pencil icon (Fig. 4) to access the Module Editor page.

ADD TIMED USER ACCESS

From the Module Editor page, click the Access Control tab (Fig. 5) from the menu.

Under the Timed User Access heading, select your preferred time units (days, hours or minutes) from the drop-down menu (Fig. 6).

Enter your preferred amount of time in the Amount of Time box (Fig. 7).

Click Save and Close Editor.


EDIT TIMED USER ACCESS

To edit Timed User Access, navigate to  Portal Administration (Fig. 1) by clicking on the drop-down menu on the left and click on the Learning Management System Module Administration box (Fig. 2). 

Click on the Edit Mode toggle (Fig. 3) at the top right-hand corner of the page and click the pencil icon (Fig. 4) on the module you would like to edit. 

From the Module Editor page, click on the Access Control tab (Fig. 5) and navigate to the Time User Access section on the page. 

Edit your amount of time and your time units (days, hours or minutes) (Fig. 7) as needed.

Click Save and Close Editor.


REMOVE TIMED USER ACCESS

To remove Timed User Access, navigate to  Portal Administration (Fig. 1) by clicking on the drop-down menu on the left and click on the Learning Management System Module Administration box (Fig. 2). 

Click on the  Edit Mode toggle (Fig. 3) at the top right-hand corner of the page and click the pencil icon (Fig. 4) on the module you would like to edit. 

From the Module Editor page, click on the  Access Control tab (Fig. 5) and navigate to the Time User Access section on the page. 

Select No Time Restriction from the time Units drop-down menu (Fig. 6).

Click  Save and Close Editor.
