Adding Timed User Access to a Module

The Konvert™  Timed User Access feature allows administrators to set a restriction on how long a user has to complete a module.

Note: The time for each user begins once they begin the module.

In this article, we will explain:

  • How to access Timed User Access settings
  • How to add Timed User Access to a module
  • How to edit Timed User Access
  • How to remove Timed User Access

ACCESS TIMED USER ACCESS SETTINGS

Timed User Access can be managed through the Module Editor page. To access the Module Editor page, click the drop-down menu in the top-left corner and select the Portal Administration link (Fig. 1).

From the Portal Administration page, select the Learning Management System Module Administration card (Fig. 2).

From the Learning Management System Module Administration page, click on the Edit Mode toggle (Fig. 3) in the top-right corner of the page.

Locate the preferred module and click the pencil icon (Fig. 4) to access the Module Editor page.

ADD TIMED USER ACCESS TO A MODULE

From the Module Editor page, click the Access Control tab (Fig. 5) from the menu.

In the Timed User Access section, select your preferred time units (days, hours or minutes) from the drop-down menu (Fig. 6).

Enter your preferred amount of time in the Amount of Time field (Fig. 7) and modify the time Unit if needed by selecting the time unit from the drop-down menu (Fig. 7).

Click the  Save button (Fig. 8) and the Close Editor button (Fig. 9).

EDIT TIMED USER ACCESS

To edit Timed User Access, navigate to the Module Editor page by clicking on the Portal Administration link (Fig. 1) in the drop-down menu on the left, and clicking on the Learning Management System Module Administration card (Fig. 2). 

Click on the Edit Mode toggle (Fig. 3) in the top-right corner of the page and click the pencil icon (Fig. 4) in the top-right corner of the module you would like to edit. 

From the Module Editor page, click on the Access Control tab (Fig. 5) and navigate to the Time User Access section.

Edit your amount of time and your time units (days, hours or minutes) (Fig. 7) as needed.

Click the  Save button (Fig. 8) and the Close Editor button (Fig. 9).


REMOVE TIMED USER ACCESS

To remove  Timed User Access, navigate to the Module Editor page by clicking on the Portal Administration link (Fig. 1) in the drop-down menu on the left, then clicking on the Learning Management System Module Administration card (Fig. 2). 

Click on the  Edit Mode toggle (Fig. 3) in the top-right corner of the page and click the pencil icon (Fig. 4) in the top-right corner of the module you would like to edit. 

From the  Module Editor page, click on the Access Control tab (Fig. 5) and navigate to the Time User Access section.

Select No Time Restriction from the time Unit drop-down menu (Fig. 6).

Click the  Save button (Fig. 8) and the Close Editor button (Fig. 9).
