Adding / Editing Actions

Within a Course, click the bar of the Chapter you’d like to edit, then click LMS Edit Mode toggle. You will see the option to Create Action at the bottom, or to edit an Action, click the “pencil” icon to the right of any previously-created Action bar.

  1. Enter the Action text (usually a question, true/false statement, or a prompt for a written response) into the Question or Statement area provided. The Action can include Rich Text, which allows for bulleted or numbered lists (just click on the appropriate icon above the text bar). You may also include Bold, Italic, Underlined or Linked text.

  2. Select the answer Type from the dropdown Task button. Choose from Task, True/False, Multiple Choice, Multiple Answers, Ordered Multiple Answers or Fill In.

    • If you choose Task, users will be prompted to confirm that they have completed the task upon finishing.
    • If you choose True/False, select whether the statement in the Question or Statement space is True or False.
    • If you choose Multiple Choice, you will be prompted to enter answers to the question. You may enter as many possible answers as you like. Type answers in the Answers space provided. Click Add Answers to add more answers. When you enter the correct answer, click the Correct Answer button.
    • If you choose Multiple Answers, you will be prompted to enter an answer to the question. You may enter as many possible answers as you like. Type answers in the Answers space provided. Click Add Answers to add more answers. When you enter the correct answer, click the Correct Answer button.
    • If you choose Ordered Multiple Answers, you will be prompted to enter an answer to the question. You may answer as many possible answers as you like. Click Add Answer to add multiple answers. Click Add Answers to add more answers. When you enter the correct answer, click the Correct Answer button.
  3. If you like, you may enter an Answer Reasoning that will allow participants to understand why the correct answer is indeed correct.
  4. Click Save or Cancel when you are done with each Action.
  5. You may reorder Actions at any time by clicking the Reorder Actions toggle, then dragging Actions into the desired order.
