Manage Homepage Banners

Admins can edit and customize their LMS homepage banner, allowing for more predictability on mobile devices and simpler management of displays. The LMS Banner Editor includes the ability to:

  • Reorder current banners
  • Upload your own imagery
  • Select color schemes
  • Add custom headlines and text
  • Include a clickable URL

To access the Banners page, click on the Edit Mode toggle (Fig. 1) at the top right-hand corner of the homepage.

Click on the pencil icon (Fig. 2) at the top right-hand corner of the banner.

CREATE A BANNER

From the Banner page, click the Create Banner box (Fig. 3).

Select an image or a background color.

To select an image, click the Use Image button and click the Upload Image button (Fig. 4).

Drag and drop your image into the box or click the Add A File button (Fig. 5).

Note: We recommend a minimum resolution of 1500px by 500px. Banners can be larger or smaller but should stay true to a 3:1 aspect ratio. Keep in mind that very high resolution images may cause performance issues on your homepage for some users.

To select a background color, click the Use Color button (Fig. 6) and select your color from the drop-down menu. Background colors can be your primary color, your secondary color, black or white.

Enter your title in the  Banner Title field and the subtitle in the Banner Subtitle field (Fig. 7).

Choose your text color from the drop-down menu (Fig. 8). Your text color can be your primary color, your secondary color, black or white.

Select your Text Box Background Color from the drop-down menu (Fig. 9). Your background color can be your primary color, your secondary color, black or white. You can also choose Automatic which will auto-select a background color based on your text color. For example, if a light text color is selected, a dark background will be applied. If a dark text color is selected, a light background will be applied.

Select your Text Box Position from the drop-down menu (Fig. 10). Your text box can be displayed at the top right, top left, bottom right or bottom left corner of the banner.

Select your Text Box Opacity (Fig. 11). Opacity can range from 0% to 100%.

If you would like the banner to link to a URL, enter the URL in the Link box (Fig. 12). Click the check box if you would like the link to open in a new tab.

Click Save. Your banner has now be created but has not yet been published.


PUBLISH AND UNPUBLISH BANNERS

Once your banner has been created, you will need to publish it before it is visible on the homepage. To publish your banner click the Publish button (Fig. 13) at the bottom right-hand corner of the page and click Close Editor

To unpublish a banner, navigate to the Banners page and click on the pencil icon of the Banner you would like to unpublish. Click on the Unpublish button at the bottom right-hand corner of the page and click Close Editor

REORDER BANNERS

To reorder banners, access the  Banners page by clicking on the Edit Mode toggle (Fig. 1) at the top right-hand corner of the homepage. 

Click on the  pencil icon (Fig. 2) at the top right-hand corner of the banner.

Click on the Reorder Banners toggle (Fig. 15) at the top left-hand corner of the page.

Drag and drop your banners in your preferred order.
